OFFICE MANAGER
DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Business Office Director, the Office Manager is responsible for demonstrating independent judgment and discretion in the provision of quality patient services and support for clinical services, including patient reception by greeting patients and other visitors to the health center, explaining procedures, and answering routine questions, maintaining a pleasant and welcoming attitude and providing outstanding customer service at all times, appointments, registration, collection of payments, service charges, telephone contacts, medical records and referrals. The Office Manager provides administrative support to the health center. The Office Manager assists providers and clinic staff with requests, and does so in a timely manner. The Office Manager does not advise professional personnel, patients or any persons regarding medical issues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have a high school diploma or certificate of high school equivalence; additional training in the medical environment is a plus. Applicant must have a minimum of two years of patient registration or related experience. Applicant must have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of insurance plans/benefits and the verification process. Applicant must have basic computer skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Applicant must have the ability to acquire skills for entering accurate data, messages, and updated insurance information into the NextGen practice management system. Applicant must have a working knowledge of HIPPA guidelines and Release of Information laws. Applicant must be able to relate, interact and work with targeted groups and ethnically/culturally diverse populations. Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
Applicant must have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work with patients and fellow staff members in an effective manner with sensitivity for diverse population groups.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT
DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Nursing Affairs, is responsible for assisting with all basic examinations of patients; greets incoming patients for medical practitioner; receives and screens all calls to medical practitioners; prepares patients for examination; dates and stamps progress notes, entering body weight, vital signs as requested; completes requisition for additional testing of patients as required by medical practitioner; escorts patient to other health care clinic area as required. Notifies Associate Director of Nursing Affairs of supplies needed for treatment area; receives requested supplies; maintains orderliness of treatment area; maintains examination room supplies according to established standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Applicant must be certified or registered as a Medical Assistant. Applicant must have at least one year experience in an acute care hospital or ambulatory clinic. Applicant must have working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Applicant must have strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, demonstrating the ability to work with children, adolescents and adults in an effective manner with sensitivity for diverse population groups. DENTAL ASSISTANT
DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Dental Director or designee, supports the Dentist in the delivery of high quality dental care and assists in the efficient management of the dental office; confirms and coordinates with the appropriate NEON departments the Dentist’s daily schedule and patient’s treatment plan as the Dentist dictates and thus ensures the continuity of care to completion. Performs chairside dental assisting; assists to maintain a visually clear field during operative and surgical procedures by retracting soft tissues and aspiration of blood, saliva and other irrigating solutions. Assists in other general duties pertaining to the dental office, such as the sterilization of instruments, processing of radiographs, mixing materials and passing them to the Dentist. Ensures that area is clean and orderly at all times; maintains work area according to OSHA requirements, maintains a level of adequate supply, acceptable sanitation, and complete functioning consistent with standard of high quality as outlined by OSHA and the Dental Department Infection Control Standard. Able to float from center to center when Dentist is away from center.
